I'll be referencing this writer quite a bit here. He says that the movie is over-the top enviromentalist, anti-american-soldier, and that it has poor dialogue and a simplistic plot.
On the other hand, he says, its comparable to the new Star Wars movies, the Matrix, the LotR and Jurassic Park with just how gorgeous it gets. So its more of a spectacle or an experience than an actual, u know, movie. There's such a big difference, I'm guessing between the theater and the home that its much more worth it to see in theaters rather than renting it at home.
